چکیده

The aim of the research is to substantiate scientific foundations an integrated approach solving environmental and geological problems related groundwater salinization in Kalush mining region; quantitative evaluation dynamics such its relationship with river system based on geochemical geophysical observations. relevance determined by need solve following tasks: 1) identification sources contamination; 2) determination saline areas, including settlements within which drinking water horizons become unsuitable for direct use; 3) characteristics dynamics, that is, degree salinity rate changes space time; 4) danger operation intake facilities; 5) risk contamination basin. methodology consists establishing correlation between hydrogeochemical electrometric observations, as well determining transition patterns from measurements electrical resistance salinity. It also includes creating spatio-temporal models assessing risks surface watercourses taking into account main providing initial data making management decisions. With help observations (the mineralization) exploration (measurement resistance), correlations were established inherent aquifer mineralization. As a result, this made it possible concretize determine area according planar surveys. Regime allowed us establish movement direction speed front. obtained calculating Limnytsia Dnister Rivers. novelty further development methods underground mineralization results research, method exploration. For first time, territory region (KMR) created. In addition, assessment watercourse Rivers) was given, KMR. application makes quickly areas associated probable territory, provide planning actions. A reliable forecast allows envisaging measures reducing load aquifer, only horizon town Kalush.

Alkaline Rocks and Geodynamics

105 Abstract: Origin of A-type alkali feldspar granites is currently the subject of a world-wide debate. Contrasting hypotheses have been proposed, which range from an entirely crustal origin to an almost complete mantle derivation. A-type alkali feldspar granites belong to either unimodal granite (rhyolite)-dominated association, or bimodal gabbro (basalt)-granite (rhyolite) suite. It is argue...

Large scale simulation and observations in geodynamics

We contrast the concepts of computational simulation as practiced in computer assisted design with that of numerical modeling of geology and other observational sciences in which controlled experiments are not available. We highlight the role of the modeller in subjectively weighting observations, modelling and experience to find a preferred geological model.

High - Performance Modelling in Geodynamics

Modelling of geodynamic processes like mantle or core convection has strongly improved over the last two decades thanks to the steady development of numerical codes that tend to incorporate a more and more realistic physics. High-performance parallel computations allow the simulation of complex problems, such as the self-consistent generation of tectonic plates or the formation of planetary mag...

Non-equilibrium Thermodynamics, Thermomechanics, Geodynamics

The subject of non-equilibrium thermodynamics is now quite old, dating back to Prigogine, Biot and Truesdell in the 1950’s and 1960’s. It has had a resurgence in the physical sciences in the past five years largely due to a consolidation of ideas on thermodynamics as a whole and to advances in computer speeds. Non-equilibrium thermodynamics has now advanced to a stage where it forms an umbrella...
